Murdoch The Baboon..And His Paper's Cartoon

It is no surprise that the intensity of the hate continues this year just as much as last year when the on-purpose McCain/Palin Nuremberg- style antics got all of the racists and haters up out of their chairs. Some Americans were lulled to sleep from November 4, 2008 to January 20, 2009 believing that all ignorance and hate would subside with the election being over. Not in America. America is still having to face itself and realize what it is and how far it still has to go. Those that criticize people who speak out with examples of their racism are continuing to get a steady dose of how real these examples are, how these people are not all whining opportunists, and how the institutionalized racism in and out of corporate America operates.

Today in the Rupert Murdoch-owned (Fox News, MySpace, etc.) NY Post, there is a cartoon that shows two white officers shooting a chimpanzee to death, capitalizing on the story of the chimp that attacked the woman earlier this week. The caption of the cartoon reads "They'll have to find someone else to sign the next stimulus bill." Grand, blatant, allowed, and inflammatory racism being spewed by corporate owners. I took time to respond to Ed Schultz's blog today on this subject. The first comment on his blog is below, then my reply to her ignorance just below that. You can view the cartoon and the blog at http://www.wegoted.com/blog/blog-details.asp?BID=52

"We put up with 8 years of monkey calling to our president and worse. He was referred to as a nazi numerous times and compared to those regimes and to be frank now it's your turn to take what your side has been giving out. We don't see things in color like you do and we don't pigeon hole everyone and categorize people as your side loves to do. "

"Comments like Lori's are an example of what racist America uses to hide behind so it can get away with these antics. They know darn well what this is about. To say "we don't see things in color like you do" is laughable and shows the shallow understanding of race in America, ignorance in America and hate in America. These cynical, oppressive images have been used by racists and certain members of the conservative/right for years. The fact that Lori does not make any reference to the tie between the ape and the stimulus is transparent. "
